Bernie: Ask Lisa Jackson about the 65 DNL

Bernie, please ask Lisa Jackson about the F35 projected 65 DNL and its impact on Winooski, South Burlington and surrounding communities. The 65 DNL is not an arbitrary noise level. That's why the Federal Interagency Committee on Urban Noise treats this as such an important number.
Please see the attachment below for a very recent analysis by the EPA of a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for an expansion of an airport in Guam by the Air Force. They keep getting back to the 65 DNL and they state "residential land use is incompatible with noise levels above DNL 65 dB...". Maybe the people in Guam are more important than Vermonters?

Please call your Senator or Representative and ask them why they support the F35. Tell them you don't. Tell them mistakes were made in the initial scoring process and Burlington shouldn't even be a candidate for the F35.
